HNB PLC has reinforced its commitment to community welfare by supporting the 1990 Suwaseriya Foundation’s ‘Adopt an Ambulance’ project through the adoption of two ambulances. This initiative is part of HNB’s ongoing efforts to enhance emergency medical services and ensure greater accessibility to free, life-saving pre-hospital care across Sri Lanka.
The official handover ceremony took place with the participation of HNB Managing Director/ CEO, Damith Pallewatta, Senior Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer, Sanjay Wijemanne Senior Vice President – Strategy, Priyanka Wijayaratne and Executive – Sustainable Business, Shanel Perera along with CEO of 1990 Suwaseriya Foundation – Sohan De Silva.
Speaking at the event, Damith Pallewatte, Managing Director/CEO, stated:

The 1990 Suwaseriya Ambulance Service, recognized for its rapid-response emergency medical care, has been instrumental in providing free pre-hospital care emergency ambulance services across Sri Lanka, assisting thousands of individuals daily. HNB’s contribution will enhance the service’s reach and operational capacity of the service, ensuring faster response times and improve medical support in critical situations.
