HNB to Host Gami Pubuduwa Avurudu Pola 2025 at BMICH on April 5–6

Sri Lanka’s leading private sector bank, HNB, announced that the Gami Pubuduwa Avurudu Pola 2025 will take place on April 5 and 6 at the BMICH for the 6th time, offering a vibrant platform for 150 micro entrepreneurs from across the country to exhibit and sell their products.

Organised under the Bank’s flagship Micro Finance initiative, Gami Pubuduwa, the event celebrates grassroots enterprise and aims to connect entrepreneurs with urban markets. Now a much-anticipated annual fixture, the Avurudu Pola reflects HNB’s continued commitment to uplifting Sri Lanka’s micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

“The Gami Pubuduwa Avurudu Pola is a key platform for entrepreneurs to access new markets, build networks and elevate their business potential,” said Mahinda Senevirathne, Vice President Micro Finance, HNB. “By providing this exposure and opportunity in the heart of Colombo, we are helping our microfinance customers transition from local operations to sustainable, scalable businesses.”

Visitors to the Pola can expect a curated range of locally produced goods, including traditional foods, handcrafted items, spices, apparel, plants and more — all created by entrepreneurs empowered through HNB’s microfinance support. Beyond product sales, the event facilitates meaningful networking opportunities with potential customers, corporate stakeholders and business partners.

Each year, the Avurudu Pola brings together a diverse cross-section of talent, providing a much-needed platform for recognition and revenue generation. Through Gami Pubuduwa, HNB continues to offer holistic support for entrepreneurs — from financial access and advisory services to market development and capacity building.

The event is open to the public and entry is free.
